Campaigns

A campaign is a message you send to many customers at once — for example a promotion, an announcement, or a re-engagement message. Campaigns help you reach your audience on WhatsApp while respecting messaging rules and customer choice.

Verified from product architecture
This article describes campaigns conceptually. The exact steps, template rules, and limits in your workspace depend on your plan and the current version of the application.

Audiences

You choose who receives a campaign by selecting an audience — typically built from your CRM using tags and segments. A focused audience keeps your messages relevant and helps protect your sending reputation.

Templates

WhatsApp requires that broadcast-style messages use approved message templates. See WhatsApp Setup for how templates are connected to your account. The templates available to a campaign depend on what has been approved for your number.

Scheduling and delivery

  • Scheduling — send now or at a chosen time.
  • Delivery — WazBot sends messages to the audience and tracks delivery progress.
  • Conversion — replies become normal conversations your AI agent or team can handle.

Opt-out and respect for customers

Messaging responsibly
Customers can opt out of promotional messages, and you should only message people who expect to hear from you. Sending unwanted messages can get your WhatsApp number restricted. WazBot and WhatsApp both enforce rules designed to protect customers.

Tracking

After a campaign runs, you can review how it performed — such as how many messages were delivered and how many led to conversations. See Analytics for reporting.
